Frequently Asked Questions
The island has Kayaks?
Yes! There are 3 kayaks for us to use. It is forbidden to leave kayaks loose in the water, the waves drag them into the stones or to the sea.
What about the beautiful glass on the floor?
Do not walk on wet glass, it is dangerous to slip. Dancing on the glass on the decks is prohibited as it can be dangerous too, please avoid it!
How are we doing with drinks?
Saturday is on us. If you stay in the island with us, we will provide soft drinks all the time and alcoholic drinks only during dinner on Friday and brunch on Sunday. Feel free to brink extra drinks or food if you want. We will probably party Friday too, but only with speakers and Spotify. Remember, drinks have to be in cans because bottles are forbidden.
I do not speak Portuguese. What now?
Well, Duoling is free and you have over a year to learn! But relax, most people speak English, Spanish or French too 🙂 . After 2 drinks we speak everything, specially the Groom's father. 👴
How much does does it cost? What is included?
It will cost is USD 140 per person for the 2 nights, including transport from/to Rio, accommodation, food and drinks. Note that if you are not taking the bus from Rio, we will adjust the price. Children will not pay the same value as adults!
We also invite everyone to have a look on hotels and airbnbs in the region if you prefer staying in the continent.
Toilets and more
The island will have basic products, such as shampoo, body wash and femenine products. It is forbidden to throw toilet paper down the toilet.
What are the times of the boat?
During the day between 07h00 and 23h00.
What about the distribution of the rooms?
This is a tricky question. We will organize people in such a way that every bed is occupied and 60 people are sleeping in the island. That means you may have to share the room with some family member such as your brother, grandmother, etc. There are 2, 3 and 4 bed chalets available. We will confirm the distribution with everyone in advance.
Can I drink water from the sink?
NO! Don't drink water from sink anywhere in Brazil! We will provide mineral water during the stay as well as a water filter too.
Does the island have electricity
Yes, the island has generators to provide power to us. However, we kindly ask to use it safely and to not overuse hairdressers and other heavy power consumption devices.
